Hi... welcome to "ExploringSpirituality" glad you made it here.

My name is Jeff Roy and I am in the beginning stages of developing this web site and a spiritual retreat center in Muskoka.

As I type this I am sitting here looking out over a beautiful lake in Northern Ontario...

there are trees all around... and a Canadian flag is flying.

There is the odd hum of an piece of heavy equipment working in the distance.

And the hum of the laptop fan running as I type.

I come here to get away and plan and listen for God to lead.

I am attempting to begin designing the front page of this web site.

I so want to get this right.

After several failed attempts... I stopped... and looked out... this is what I saw

As I paused and looked.... everything slowed down...

I was overwhelmed by the beauty... and became aware of a presence.

A presence that is always there. His presence.

We get so busy we miss this. He said to me...

"Write this.... what you just experienced... this is what I offer."

Exploring Spirituality is a web site devoted to equipping those with hearts to know God with the tools to hear His voice.

In this century there is an emphasis on rationalism and people are all so busy. In this environment the spiritual disciplines of meditation and contemplation and dialoguing with God have, to a great degree, fallen by the wayside. We no longer know how to slow down the analytical side of our brain down and enter into the flow of the Spirit which is intuitively perceived/sensed by the right side of our brains.

I, as led by Him, seek to restore this. For me, this had been a journey of discovery.... EXPLORING SPIRITUALITY!
